"LOVE IS ENTHRONED"

From the November 1943 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Alone with God
Our Leader stood,
Steadfast and unafraid,
Hearing only His voice,
Obedient to His all-bestowing will.
The storms of evil circled round her
In every form of subtlety and strife;
Confusion, malice, hate—
In vain they beat against the granite of the thought
That knew, with childlike faith
And deep understanding,
The truth she lived and taught:
"Love is enthroned."Science And Health With Key To The Scriptures By Mary Baker Eddy, Page 454.

What precious words for us to dwell upon
And prove
As to our wakening thought unfolds,
Clear as the waters of a mountain stream,
The glory of their full significance!
The path they point is ever well defined;
Humbly we walk thereon—
Temptations disappear,
Evils dissolve, their nothingness made plain,
And through eternity rings out the cry,
"Love is enthroned"!
