I am deeply grateful for Christian Science. It has met my every need for the past twenty-four years.
We have had many healings in our home. The first was an instantaneous healing of croup for our baby daughter, which proved to me that Christian Science was all I needed or wanted. After that I disposed of a large box of medicine and relied on God for my help.
We had learned of Christian Science several months previously through the owner of the ranch where my husband was employed, and for some time we had been having treatment from a Christian Science practitioner for our four-year-old son. The boy had an umbilical rupture and was wearing a truss. I was very fearful, and continually examined him to see that the truss was in place. After the healing of croup I found the courage to burn the truss one evening in the practitioner's office, I never knew when the healing took place, for I stopped looking at the rupture. The fear of it was completely wiped out when I disposed of the truss. Many false beliefs were overcome in the months and years that followed. I shall never cease to be grateful to the practitioner for his untiring efforts to help us, and to the owner of the ranch for introducing us to Christian Science.
