PRECISION IN THE HEALING WORK

From the September 1958 issue of The Christian Science Journal

How many of us have ever risen early and watched the coming dawn? The glory of this daily occurrence, especially as seen in nature's haunts, has often its thought-provoking sequel. How easily light dispels darkness, effortlessly and without resistance! How gently the day unfolds and how clearly the scene about us emerges to our expectant sight!

To one in unfamiliar surroundings, the coming of dawn is of special interest. As the sky brightens with the encompassing glory of the day, the specific features of the landscape — the pitfalls to avoid and the beauties to enjoy — become increasingly apparent to the onlooker.

A problem that comes to a Christian Scientist for healing may indicate a darkened mental sense, an ignorance of God's laws and of His power and perfection. Spiritual light dawning on thought tends to reveal true being; also it reveals the specific nature of the problem which needs solution.
