Poems

It Doesn't Know

From the October 1961 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"I will not fear what flesh can do
Unto me."
It has no knowledge of my true
Identity.

For flesh and I are opposites—not combined;
Not same, nor one.
Flesh is a lie, illusion; I, in Mind,
God's Godlike son.

If we remain steadfast in His
Effulgent glow,
We don't ask matter how man is;
It doesn't know.
