"Glad tidings"

From the May 1966 issue of The Christian Science Journal

During his ministry Christ Jesus "went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the the kingdom of God."Luke 8:1; Today Christian Scientists, following in their Master's footsteps, utilize their periodicals as one modern correlative to proclaim to the world "glad tidings" of the emancipative power of Christ, Truth.

As with our Master, the Scientist's message adheres strictly to the Golden Rule. As an aid in proclaiming Truth, the student peruses the pamphlet, "Helps for Contributors of Religious Articles for the Christian Science Periodicals," issued by The Christian Science Publishing Society.

Following instructions contained in the pamphlet, the student bases his writing on the only textbooks of Christian Science, namely the Holy Bible and the writings of Mrs. Eddy. Striving to demonstrate the truths contained in these God-inspired books, he will find that his composition reflects freshness, originality, fluency, inspiration, and authority.
