Prayer on behalf of The Mother Church and its present building program, as well as one's own branch Church of Christ, Scientist, or Christian Science college organization, is increasingly effective as it is better known that the true idea of Church is spiritual.
In his day, Christ Jesus saw the wisdom of turning thought always to the spiritual. Indeed, it was because he himself held a spiritual view of all things that he healed spiritually, that is, without material methods.
The temple in Jerusalem was regarded by those who worshiped there as a holy place and a very formidable structure. Coming out of this temple one day, Jesus' disciples pointed out to him its buildings. "And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down."Matt. 24:2;
