Not a Bandwagon Situation

[The author was in his last year of high school when he wrote this piece.]

From the July 1972 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Are you a Christian Scientist but not a member of a branch Church of Christ, Scientist? Why? Do you think it would be a stale experience, that you couldn't do much? Maybe you think it won't do any good, or that you're too young.

Church can't be a stale experience unless you let it be. There's lots you can do to be a part of your branch church. Joining it is a positive, beneficial step in any Christian Scientist's experience.

I'm glad I joined a branch church when I was in high school. It was a positive step for me because I'm trying to throw off limitations in school-related work. I'm trying to love more, to be happier. In other words, I'm really trying to represent Christian Science.
