Better Health from Better Relationships

From the October 1973 issue of The Christian Science Journal

A multitude of problems, including disease, stem from inharmonious relationships. Discord between family members, business associates, neighbors, and friends is the basis of innumerable other problems. A person should not hold on to resentment and hurt feelings and wonder why he is depressed, unloved, or physically ill.

Relationships involving hatred, destructive criticism, self-will, and the like need to be corrected until they are in harmony with God, Soul, who creates only perfection. This can be done through an understanding of Christian Science. When people harmonize with their all-loving Father-Mother God, they learn to harmonize with each other. When a purer, higher sense of life as the spiritual expression of divine Love is made practical in their human affairs, they then heal their bodies and resolve their problems.

Mary Baker Eddy speaks of God's power as the basis of healing, "whereby the sweet harmonies of Christian Science are found to correct the discords of sense, and to lift man's being into the sunlight of Soul." Miscellaneous Writings, p. 202;
