Poems

To God, Love, with love

From the June 1983 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I don't know all it means
that You are Love.
Although I pray with gratitude
each day
that in Your radiance I may learn and grow.

Each time I think I know
a little more,
there is another door
through which You bid me go—
like truth and patience,
purity and grace, and many more.

You, who are All-in-all,
who answer when I call:
Dear Love,
I try to do
the loving that I understand of You.
