What can we do about church troubles? Heal them!

From the August 1983 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The most effective way to deal with any difficulty that may challenge our church organization is to seek its solution as if we were dealing with a personal difficulty or a patient in our practice of Christian Science.

Belittlement, condemnation, ruminating over symptoms of disease and sin, gossip, character assassination—these have no place in scientific practice. And they can certainly do nothing toward bringing about genuine Christian healing in our churches.

It's true that errors need to be uncovered, exposed, renounced, and replaced with the facts of spiritual being. But how we set about this task is the all-important thing, especially in working with others.
