Our son and daughter were a mere fourteen days old when we adopted them in Brazil. They were suffering from malnutrition, and they were in poor health. However, within a rather short time, through prayer in Christian Science, the effects of malnutrition were overcome, and new skin grew in where there had been sores.
After we returned home, a skin disease spread over the girl's body. The child lost her hair, and her skin started peeling as if from a very severe sunburn. When one layer of skin fell off, a new layer appeared, only to peel off again.
Although the picture of this was unsightly, there was not one iota of doubt in us that full healing would come through prayer.
