There is a spirit in man: and the Inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding (Job 32:8)
Job and his friends have mentioned "spirit" previously (see Job 6:4; 7:11; 15:13), but it was an element of human nature to which they referred. Here we learn that understanding and discernment are not native to the human mind but are divinely inspired.
