The Shepherd is seeking you

From the October 1995 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Child of the street—
Abandoned, thrown away?
Your Father-Mother has never left you.
Look, look for His hand.
Take it. He will not desert you.
Did not Jesus say the shepherd goes after
The one sheep that is lost
Until he finds it?
Can you love yourself?
God loves you, without condition.
Wherever you are, whatever you've done,
He sees you as He made you—innocent and good.
Yes,
This day, innocent;
This hour, pure and good.
You are this moment
In God's very presence.
Follow the Shepherd;
Be your true self—
The child of God,
Pure, holy—today
And every day.
