Testimonies of Healing

Safe flight with a disruptive passenger

From the December 2002 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I was on a 747 ready to depart from London to New York. The doors were about to close when I heard a commotion at the front of the plane. A scuffle broke out between a passenger and a few of the flight attendants.

Then I saw the young man who was causing the fracas. He was cursing, bullying the flight attendants, and pulling open overhead bins, causing items to fall out. He was creating an uproar.

I suddenly realized that there was only one empty seat—right next to me, and he was making for it. He was hotly pursued by the chief steward who told him that if he didn't calm down he'd be removed from the plane.
