Science and Health at the 'God Table'

From the January 2010 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Begin with an inspiration, add a friend or two, be willing to reach out and give "a cup of cold water" (Science and Health, p. 570), and the results can be amazing. Christian Science practitioner ; , a web developer and part-time Christian Science practitioner; community activist and retired librarian ; and , a retired organic farmer, share their special story of giving Science and Health to receptive hearts at the Spokane (Washington) Transit Authority (STA) bus plaza.

THE "GOD TABLE" is what some people call the area at the STA bus plaza, where several denominations provide outreach to the public. More than 30,000 people a day travel through this downtown mall where we set up our table full of copies of Science and Health once a week from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

We are striving to live Church.
