Stay present

From the October 2012 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Stay present

© MEDIOIMAGES/PHOTODISC/THINKSTOCK

If life seems
to push and pull,
rush me fast away

Interrupting and distracting,
planning, fretting,
timing, tracking

Then whom do I obey?
What’s my stand this day?

God is straight before me.
God is all about me.

God is right this moment.
I pray
I learn to . . .
stay.
