Christian Science has always been my only guide to joyous living and healing. It has never failed to obliterate troubles and restore harmony when I have applied its teachings. Through practicing Christian Science, I’ve experienced instantaneous healings of accidents, sickness, grief, self-doubt, and fear. I’ve also had several healings involving physical reconstruction through spiritually mental surgery.
At one time I owned and operated a small construction company. I was working in the shop one day with two employees, sawing red oak planks into strips—for gluing together to make raised-panel kitchen cabinet doors. I was running the wood through a table saw when one of the employees pulled a small compressor hose on the floor at my feet. I allowed myself to be distracted by this and ran the index finger of my right hand into the blade.
Instantly, with my left hand I gripped the finger, never looking at it, since I wanted to prevent forming an image of accident or injury in thought.
