Interviews

Concord and its role in study

From the July 2018 issue of The Christian Science Journal

A new version of the Christian Science study software, Concord, which provides tools for searching and studying the Bible, Mary Baker Eddy’s writings, and the Christian Science hymnals, is being released this summer. Jennifer McLaughlin, Publisher’s Agent for Mary Baker Eddy’s writings, and Jason Hunsberger, Office of the Publisher’s Agent Digital Product Manager, led the development of this version of Concord. In this interview, they share some of what’s new and what’s refined; they talk about how Concord can help anyone dive into deeper study of the Bible and Mrs. Eddy’s writings; and they look back at how Mrs. Eddy’s work in developing the Concordance to Science and Health inspired their work.

Jennifer and Jason, let’s start by talking about the overall reason for Concord. Why do you feel Concord is an important tool for our study of the Bible, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, Mrs. Eddy’s other writings, and also, for the hymnals?
