The enterprising young firm of Thayer...

From the December 1886 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The enterprising young firm of Thayer, McNeil & Hodgkins, dealers in French, English and American Boots and Shoes, at 47 Temple Place, Boston, have certainly proved that there was room for another store of this kind in our city where shopping is not a difficult task. Their determination to please all, and to carry none but first-class goods, gives them the patronage they so thoroughly merit. Just at this time their stock is unusually attractive.

At this season of the year when the holidays are here, one would do well before buying, to visit the well-known store of Palmer, Bachelder and Co., 146 Tremont street. Their rich stock of Clocks, Music Boxes, Opera Glasses, Choice Bric-a-Brac of all kinds, Rings, Chains and Silver have been selected with the usual taste and care which characterize this firm.
