Salem Wilder's Book

From the August 1886 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Its whole title is as follows:—

Life: its Nature, Origin, Development; and the Psychical related to the Physical.

The author believes in human immortality, and in a spiritually personal Ruler, whose light beams even through the clouds. He indulges in no rash assertions, and leaps to no novel conclusions. His work is an Inquiry, rather than a Treatise. Having read the best writers on his topic, he aims to show that no discovery of natural science touches the spring of Life, or encourages man to think his Maker can be dispensed with in any speculations as to life's origin.
