It is now a little over six years since Christian Science was first brought to my notice by a kind friend who had been healed by it. I had been under the care of one of the best homoeopathic physicians in our city for two months, but was not benefited, rather growing worse. I had pulmonary trouble, and had had several hemorrhages. I was given up by my physician, who said I could not live two weeks.
I then went to a healer, a lady, who was so kind and patient in showing me the way that I shall always remember her with gratitude and love. With the first treatment I improved and continued to do so. I read and study "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and find great help and joy in so doing. The light is gradually becoming brighter and brighter, and my understanding of the Bible is much clearer than it ever was before.
It was a hard struggle for me at first, to give up my medicine chest of little pills, and the faith I had in their healing qualities. My father was a homoeopathic physician and I was raised in that belief, but when they failed and all else was dark around me, the light came and I learned the divine Principle of Truth and Love, which heals all our sicknesses and sins and makes us free.
