I desire to express my deep sense of gratitude for the many blessings which my family and myself have received through Christian Science. I have been cured of inflammation of the inner ear, of rheumatism, and also of headaches of long standing. The demonstration that I wish to speak of now is that of the attack of inflammation in the ear. I was taken suddenly, while camping out in a mining district, and I soon found myself seriously ill with a very severe pain in my left ear. I left camp and started for home, the journey taking part of a night and a day. I suffered intensely during the trip, and upon reaching home found that I could not hear with that ear, while the pain was almost unbearable and I was in a weak condition. I called in a Christian Science practitioner, and through faithful work the case was met in about a week, so that the pain stopped and hearing was restored. There was no discharge and my hearing is now perfect. My right ear was also somewhat affected, but was soon healed.
I am truly grateful to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has brought to the world this great truth.
