I wish to express my gratitude to God for the many blessings which Christian Science has brought into. my life. First and foremost it has given me an understanding of God and of man's relation to Him. It has shown me that the real man has never fallen, but remains forever God's reflection, guided and sustained by Him alone. Through this understanding, peace and happiness have come to me. with increased health and fearlessness.
One of the many proofs of healing has been the overcoming of a severe bronchial cough, which troubled me a great deal at night. After reading Science and Health it disappeared for a time, but my fear of it was not wholly destroyed and it returned. However, with loving help given by a Christian Science practitioner, it was entirely overcome, and the healing was so complete that until recently I had forgotten all about it. I am learning through study and demonstration that there is indeed only one power, and that God, good; therefore "evil is not power" (Science and Health, p. 192).
One cannot help being filled with gratitude for our dear Leader's example, for her pure life and steadfastness to Truth; for our literature and the many evidences of love and thoughtfulness on the part of those at headquarters, who so often seem to anticipate our needs. Gratitude is, however, best expressed by living, not words; and my prayer is that I may let my light so shine before men that they will glorify our Father which is in heaven.
