It is now over two years since I became interested in Christian Science, and it is with a feeling of gratitude that I give my testimony. I was ready for the hospital, a doctor having said he had done all he could for me and that I could not be any better until I had an operation. At this time a friend brought me some Sentinels, and when I read the testimonies of healing I thought that if others could be helped there was also help for me. I went to a practitioner and began to take treatment; in four weeks everything was overcome, and I found myself a well woman,—free, out of bondage. Soon after my healing I met my former physician and he questioned me in regard to my health. When I told him I was perfectly well, that I had been healed in Christian Science, he was surprised, but was generous, broad, and honest in expressing himself; he said he was very glad I did not have to go to the hospital.
I daily thank God for our Leader, through whom the truth has been revealed that delivered me out of a bondage of thirty years' standing. I also want to express my gratitude for the patient and loving help given me, guiding me into the right way. I find the literature sent out by the Christian Science Publishing Society a daily feast of good things, for which I am constantly thankful. The truth of Christian Science was demonstrated to me through my own healing, and I have since had so many beautiful proofs of the healing and preserving power of Truth that I was led to get a letter of dismissal from my former church and to unite with The Mother Church, of which I hope to be a faithful member.— Malone, N.
