The testimonies in the Journal and Sentinel are always a source of great joy to me, and I have often felt that I should like to add my humble declaration of thanks to their columns. I am thankful to God and Christian Science for a peace that "passeth all understanding," and for innumerable blessings that I have received, of which I try hard to be worthy. Outstanding among these blessings are a truer sense of love than I ever knew before, and a greater toleration for my fellow beings. This wonderful lesson of love, which Christian Science imparts, helps us to overcome all manner of evil, and opens up to our vision the "pearl of great price," for which we surrender our false concepts of treasure.
I should like to relate one of the numerous incidents of protection that we have experienced. One day our baby, who was eight months old, while my back was turned, swallowed something that seemed to cause him great distress. I did not know what it was, but all I could think of was God and His omnipresence. Almost immediately baby coughed up a closed safety pin about two inches long. My gratitude for this instant relief can better be imagined than described.
I am also grateful for dear Christian Scientists and other friends I have gained, who through their genuine love have helped me out of the wilderness. God is good, and when we learn how to realize this infinite truth through the "key" to the Scriptures provided by our dear Leader's inspired understanding of the Bible, we cannot but want always to express goodness ourselves, knowing assuredly that in such reflection alone may we find permanent happiness, health, and the peace we all desire.—Colaba, Bombay, India.
