I should like to bear witness to the healing which I experienced through Christian Science. For ten years I suffered from a very weak stomach, and often had such violent pains that I was obliged to call in a physician, who then forbade my having any ordinary food. About nine years ago this trouble attacked me again so severely that I was obliged to remain in bed. The attending physician diagnosed the case as catarrh of the stomach and jaundice, and I was allowed to eat only oatmeal gruel made with water. I followed this diet very closely, but there was no improvement; on the contrary, the pain became more violent, and it seemed unbearable. But "man's extremity is God's opportunity." My father, who for some time had been interested in Christian Science, asked me if he should call a Christian Science practitioner for help. As my condition had continually been growing worse, I consented at once, and hoped for ready release from this trouble.
The practitioner whom my father called visited me and in a loving way explained the truth and treated me. An hour after receiving this treatment I was able to get out of bed without pain and partake of food without discomfort or any ill effects whatsoever. For this wonderful healing which I received through Christian Science, I thank God with my whole heart.
I thank our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the wonderful revelation of the Christ, Truth. Also I thank the practitioner who helped me so lovingly.
