In deepest gratitude to God, infinite good, for the glorious revelation of Christian Science and its healing power through our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I testify to my own healing of muscular rheumatism many years ago. At that time I knew nothing of Christian Science, and I was under medical treatment, from which I had received no relief, when a dear friend, a Christian Scientist, asked me if I would allow her to help me. Being in great pain I gladly consented, and in two or three days I was absolutely free from pain. My friend asked me to attend a Christian Science church service with her, which I did, and as I listened I thought, Oh, this is what I want! It was truly that bread "which cometh down from heaven;" and how many times I have been fed and sustained by it since! Through the understanding of this glorious truth of Christian Science I have seen, amongst other cases, the healing of pleurisy, eczema, and erysipelas affecting the head. These three cases were quickly healed, though they were all severe.
I have had the great privilege of class teaching by one of Mrs. Eddy's faithful students, and twice I have been healed in church. My own experience in this true knowledge of God, I find is a new life, and all the time I realize a marvelous strength, goodness, and love around me.
