HAVING received so much benefit from the many testimonies given in our Christian Science periodicals, as well as those given at the Wednesday meetings, during the last fifteen or sixteen years, I realize it is time to express my gratitude.
I do not know how we should get along without Christian Science. We have had many physical healings in our family of four. On two occasions we were healed instantaneously of influenza; once through the help of a practitioner, and once when I realized the truth of Mrs. Eddy's words on page 120 of Science and Health, "Health is not a condition of matter, but of Mind; nor can the material senses bear reliable testimony on the subject of health." A member of our family was healed of tuberculosis in a very short time, through the loving and consecrated help of a practitioner.
Our children, ten and twelve years of age, have had many healings, such as of whooping cough, chicken pox, and measles. The elder child was healed instantaneously of an abscessed ear. This healing took place over seven years ago, and there has never been a recurrence of that condition. Prior to this time there had been a manifestation of earache on several occasions. Neither of our children has ever tasted medicine.
