"According to your faith"

From the October 1957 issue of The Christian Science Journal

With true and tender love the Master healed
the sick, the brokenhearted, those long bound
by false beliefs. He spoke the Word of God,
and quickly those who sought his aid were cured.

"Stretch forth thine hand," he said to one. And he
to whom he spoke obeyed and then was free!
And to another Jesus said, "Arise, . . .
and go unto thine house"; and this man too
was instantly made whole! He asked the blind
who wanted help if they believed they could
be healed. And when the answer came, "Yea, Lord,"
the Master spoke, and straightway they could see!

Have we that same, strong faith in God's great power
to heal? The truth, which Jesus knew, that man
is God's idea, complete, His blessed child,
is here for all to understand and use.
The Christ, which healed and set men free, in days
of long ago, is present still to set
each heart at rest, erasing every scar.
Oh, may we all be filled with Christly grace
and do the works which prove our faith in God,
giving to Him the glory and the praise!
