Christian Science was brought into our home over sixty-five years ago. My parents began to accept its teachings at that time because my mother was told after a medical diagnosis that she would not live to rear her family. At this writing she is over ninety-four years of age, still enjoying and maintaining her own home. She seldom misses attending church services and is alert to world events.
For what I absorbed in the years of instruction in the Christian Science Sunday School until I was twenty, I am grateful. It was many years later that I discovered, however, that if one is to say correctly that he is a Christian Scientist, he must be one by letting the truths of this religion be seen in his actions and life.
I have every right in the world to be grateful for Christian Science. There have been many demonstrations in our home of its healing efficacy, and they have proved to be permanent ones. When my brother was a young boy, he was healed of a severe case of asthma. Another member of the family was healed of anemia.
