We acknowledge that the crucifixion of Jesus and his resurrection served to uplift faith to understand eternal Life, even the allness of Soul, Spirit, and the nothingness of matter.

“He is risen!” We are told this was the joyful cry that passed among the disciples and other close followers of Jesus at their discovery that he had overcome death. What a fantastic triumph! He is risen! He is alive! Death had been faced directly—and was defeated! The “last enemy” had fallen before the action of spiritual understanding.
Jesus’ students were amazed. In hindsight, perhaps, it shouldn’t have seemed so amazing. Jesus had predicted just such a victory. His teachings all pointed to the logic of such a triumph. Yet overcoming the brutal attempt to murder him was clearly beyond the expectations of his students. Now they began to understand the depth of his teaching—Life is not a mixture of material mortal life and spiritual eternal life; it is purely spiritual, without any limits.
