Unlimited good

From the July 2011 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Over the years my family and I have been blessed watching God meet our needs. Lately, I have noticed the wonderful beauty of God blessing me from minute to minute, and hour to hour, in the smallest of details. I really feel, if we are actively waiting and resting in God’s love, we witness His abundance all around.

I love the Bible passage that states that when Jesus arrived in a village, “the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him” (Luke 8:40). They were so expectant of the good that was to arrive. It provided a wonderful atmosphere for Jesus’ healing work to be accomplished.

It is so important that we do the same. When we are expectant of God’s goodness and healing abundance, it helps set the stage for blessings to appear. When we are witnessing and watching for the Christ in our experience, good flows into all the details of our lives. The important thing is to begin noticing God’s infinite and unlimited goodness all around us. It is so easy; every little thing shows forth His grandeur, His promise, His perfect Love.
