Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

“For God is All-in-all”

Why are Bible-based names for God so important? Because they reveal not only the nature of God, but also the qualities we express as the reflection of God.   In addition to the seven synonyms for God that Mary Baker Eddy identifies in  Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures— Principle, Mind, Soul, Spirit, Life, Truth, and Love—there are countless other names for God.

Is it my thinking?

Looking to be a better healer? Then you’ll want to keep an eye out for articles like this one, appearing periodically in The Christian Science Journal , Sentinel , and Herald . Their aim: to correct some of the misconceptions about Christian Science that would keep us from having the results we so desire.

Does your church seem small?

Appearances can be deceptive. And sometimes deception can lead to mistaken conclusions about the condition or value of something you care about—your church, for example.

Gratitude and the joy of praising God

I’ve always linked gratitude to the idea of praising God. In the Bible, the book of Psalms overflows with powerful expressions of glorifying God, divine Love.

God’s promises and our spiritual advancement

Throughout the Bible God promises that we will know Him, and I find that the practice of Christian Science fulfills this promise. Praying for a family member’s safety

I am so grateful for the timely publications of The Mother Church that meet our specific needs. To me, they are proof that God’s love is communicated in ways that are understandable to each of us.

Good salespeople

Some time ago, I sold advertising for a local daily newspaper. The previous publisher had clashed with a car dealer in the community, who was the largest advertiser for the paper.

God sent His angels

During one of the most challenging times of my life, God’s angels were at hand, proving the truth in the following words of Hymn 9 in the Christian Science Hymnal:  He knows the angels that you need,        And sends them to your side,        To comfort, guard and guide.                      (Violet Hay, © CSBD) In Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy defines angels in part as “God’s thoughts passing to man; spiritual intuitions, pure and perfect” ( p.
