Nowadays, many believe that God can no longer respond to humanity’s needs, as was the case many generations ago. During biblical times, manna fell from the sky to nourish a population in the desert (see Exodus, chapter 16), oil filled vases previously empty to save a poor widow (see II Kings 4:1-7), and loaves of bread multiplied to be distributed to a hungry crowd (see Mark 6:32-43). Are our times different, to the point that these out-of-the-ordinary events are no longer possible? Absolutely not. God’s laws have not changed, and nothing can prevent us from experiencing these same blessings. The question is therefore: What are the divine laws that we need to know and put into practice to see God’s solicitude manifested?
In reality, God, who is divine Love, remains immutable and impartial in the way in which He provides abundantly for each one of us, right now and forever. The manifestation of good, understood by some as being miraculous, is not supernatural since it derives from God’s laws, from divine, natural, and invariable laws. These laws are intended to be easily put into practice by everybody; and by applying them, everybody can benefit.
For example, the law of Truth takes form in honesty that cannot help being manifested in us and in the actions and words of those around us; the law of Life lets us know that healing is always possible, and so on. God’s laws are the opposite of material laws: they cannot be mixed together, and they exclude one another, the first ones being spiritual reality, and the other ones material pretention. Applying divine laws instead of material laws requires a deep trust in the fact that God and man are one, inseparable; then our vision clears to see the divine action manifested in our daily life.
