I needed to trust God

I love my school. I have been in this school since I was three years old and I plan to stay there for the rest of my childhood. There is, however, something I really don’t like and that is the amount of items that get lost in my school. Many very valuable or personal objects have been lost and not found, such as mobile phones, iPods, even a couple of iPads and computers. Usually, I don’t have a very spiritual approach to this particular issue because I think it is unfair for people to take other’s belongings and it makes me very mad.

Some months ago, I got “Dr. Dre Beats,” a pair of very expensive headphones. I love listening to music and singing so this was a really important gift for me. One day at school, I had my headphones around my neck and went to my choir class on the other side of campus. I had taken them off because I’m not allowed to have them on in class and I forgot to take them with me when I left. I didn’t notice that until the end of school. When I went back to look for them they were gone. I was frantic at first and started getting mad, but then I remembered what my mother told me about the faith and trust we need to have in God, and that people are honest and good because we are all made in God’s image.

I called my mom and told her what happened. She was in the car with my grandmother. All three of us decided to pray. I felt God was with me every step of the way.
