The change of thought that heals and saves

From The Christian Science Journal - March 3, 2014

Both the example of Jesus and the theology of Christian Science, which is based on Jesus’ teachings, show that healing and regeneration come about as a consequence of a change of thought. One’s point of view, Jesus explained, goes hand in hand with well-being. As he said, “The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness” (Luke 11:34).

Our thoughts, light or dark, do affect our experiences—in fact, they’re actually the determining factors of what we experience altogether. Even simple everyday things illustrate this. For instance, when someone feels especially sad, without much delay there can be a physical effect as the result of this sadness, as seen in that person’s eyes overflowing with water.

No doubt, there are pronounced benefits to watching and improving the texture and quality of our thoughts.
