TO THOSE WHO SERVE

From the April 1939 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Have confidence! In Truth there is no power
Save that which comes from God. It burns within
Each loving heart to glorify the hour,
By bringing hope where hopelessness has been.
As you go forward, carrying this light,
The steady ray will glow and beckon on
Some wanderer now stumbling through the night.
Its flame will guide until the gloom is gone.
You will not hunger. Daily you are fed
The nourishment which comes from doing good.
And, through obedience, your step is led,
Sustained by mental strength, Truth understood.
Dear one, it matters not where you may be.
God cares for those who serve Him willingly.
