Go Forward Fearlessly

From the February 1969 issue of The Christian Science Journal

How important it is today, when the world seems to be tense and confused on many issues, that Christian Scientists keep out hazy and stagnating beliefs of apathy, fear, lethargy, lack of initiative, and indifference and be active in Christ, Truth!

Mrs. Eddy, who was not unfamiliar with mass mesmerism and its effect upon individuals, instructed her followers how to handle this belief. In one place she writes: "Now is the time for so-called material pains and material pleasures to pass away, for both are unreal, because impossible in Science. To break this earthly spell, mortals must get the true idea and divine Principle of all that really exists and governs the universe harmoniously." Science and Health, p. 39;

As Christian Scientists do this, they will not be fearful of standing up for what is right or of acting from the standpoint of Principle. Knowing that man and the universe are governed harmoniously by the divine Mind, they can go forward joyously to do their part in bringing Truth and enlightenment to the world. They will be confident that God's omnipotent law of good is operating decisively in the affairs of mankind today just as it did in Moses' day.
