Building on the Right Foundation

From the April 1970 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"How far down do you go to reach the foundation?" At the site of the Christian Science Church Center project in Boston this question was often asked. Here large steel pipes were driven down to prepare for building the new twenty-six story Administration Building.

"A hundred and eighty feet!" Many were surprised to hear that piles had to go this deep to reach rock solid enough to support a building.

In the spiritual facts underlying all reality, Christian Science itself has a bedrock foundation. Consider how deep its foundation is! Mrs. Eddy was a dedicated spiritual engineer. She tirelessly dug out and removed many mortal theories until her new religious discovery was firmly founded on the rock, Christ, Truth. She followed the example of Christ Jesus, who removed material obstacles and brought to light spiritual cause.
