One: No More, No Less

From the April 1975 issue of The Christian Science Journal

By the very nature of infinity, God, the infinite One, must encompass all that is, must be the cause of all that is, must be all that is. Infinitude leaves no vacancy to be filled. The infinite plainly cannot be added to or taken away from.

The Bible reveals this infinite One to be all Life, all Truth, all Love. Many affirmations of God's allness could be quoted, but Jeremiah says simply, "Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord."Jer. 23:24;

Christian Science, illuminating and supporting what we learn of God in the Bible, expands our understanding of the infinite One. Mrs. Eddy gives this comprehensive definition in Science and Health: "God. The great I am; the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-acting, all-wise, all-loving, and eternal; Principle; Mind; Soul; Spirit; Life; Truth; Love; all substance; intelligence." Science and Health, p. 587;
