Christ-healing: again the head of the corner

From the February 1985 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Building on the rock of Christ's teachings, we have a superstructure eternal in the heavens, omnipotent on earth, encompassing time and eternity. The stone which the builders reject is apt to be the cross, which they reject and whereby is won the crown and the head of the corner.Message to The Mother Church for 1901, p. 25.

Mary Baker Eddy

It is sometimes objected that Christian Science "overemphasizes" the healing aspect of Christ Jesus' mission, to the exclusion of his message of salvation. But Christian Scientists themselves are well aware of the thoroughness with which Christian Science treats the subject of salvation and sin. Christian Science teaches that only as there is healing of sin can there possibly be a sufficiently clear consciousness of Christ to effect the healing of sickness. The healing of sin in Christian Science continues to be utterly primary.
