Letters

From the March 1996 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I would like to share how perfectly the article "John Wesley, the Founder of Methodism, and early Protestant healing" in the Journal fit in to our Christian Science Society's outreach to our community. It seems the article was intended just for this opportunity!

In late April our society received a phone call from a Methodist church in a neighboring town. Four Stephen ministers were planning a retreat to our community for the purpose of visiting churches of other faiths, and they wanted to include a visit to the Christian Science Society. We eagerly opened our doors to them. We had been focusing our prayers on opportunities for outreach around that time, and this was an opportunity reaching toward us!

Their visit was wonderful and loving—one minister even commented on the excellence of The Christian Science Monitor.
