LETTERS

From the September 2005 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I enjoyed very much the article by Jeffrey Hildner "Time, space, matter: Seeing through the grand illusion" [July, p. 44] and his interviews with a physicist and two Christian Scientists. I have written a book entitled Physics, Metaphysics and God (www.authorhouse.com or 888–280–7715). It is a Christian Scientist's perspective on physics yielding to metaphysics. When I did research for my book, I learned that in very real ways physics is indeed yielding to metaphysics. Some noted physicists (Amit Goswami, Fred Wolf, Edward R. Close, and others) are beginning to recognize nonlocal consciousness (independent of distance and time, not confined to matter-brain), and not matter, as prime in the universe.

But beyond physics, as mentioned in the article, and beyond human consciousness, is the reality of Spirit, Mind.

Spiritual healings, especially the instantaneous ones—which are the result of communion with universal Mind—present strong visible evidence for the superiority of Mind over matter, space-time, and physical laws/forces. The example of Christ Jesus and of those in the present indicate a reality of Spirit, Mind, and the power and principle of Love. Spiritual healings trumpet to the world this great fact: the allness of God, Love, and the absolute nothingness of evil.
