THE JOURNAL DIRECTORY:

Names and numbers? Or something more?

From the April 2010 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Is the Directory at the back of this magazine something we might describe as a convenient phone book?

Most of us can recount the times when we've prayed to be led to just the right source for help or guidance. But recently, when I sat down to talk with and respectively, of Journal advertising for Christian Science practitioners, Christian Science nurses, and branch churches/societies—I got a clear wake-up call to the Directory's wider purpose.

Consider this: While we think of it as an invaluable "go to" guide at our fingertips, it offers us an opportunity to "go to" prayer. For what? To support the global landscape of Christian Science healing.
