In 2011, I experienced a healing that strengthened my confidence in the power of God to heal, and gave me a needed push Spiritward. I had started noticing an occasional elevated heart rate, shortness of breath, and a number of other deeply concerning, very painful physical symptoms. What’s more, the constant misery brought on accompanying sensations of overwhelming despair and depression, which I had never experienced before. I wondered if I would ever feel better again.
I did not consult a doctor or get a medical diagnosis, but my wife had worked in an emergency room years earlier, and she had noticed that this would have been considered a very serious condition, not something manageable on its own.
To deal with the situation, I turned wholly to Christian Science for healing, as I had done on many previous occasions. I asked for prayerful help from a Christian Science practitioner, who lovingly prayed with me, particularly when the symptoms were aggressive and when I was filled with doubt and discouragement.
