We expect with faith that when God's way is known in the earth honesty will be regular, kindness will be prevalent, and men will have understanding hearts. Before this can be, however, much that is crooked must be made straight.

No Christian can well question the tremendous possibilities of such agreement, for in the eighteenth chapter of Matthew we read that after Christ Jesus had discussed freely with his disciples the differences and offenses which were apt to arise among even his professed followers he said: "I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Paul seemed to have quickly learned how to distinguish between what he calls "Israel after the flesh," and "the Israel of God. " Peter had more trouble with his Jewish prejudices.

In the twenty-fourth psalm we find this spiritual command repeated: "Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. " It is said that this psalm was written to signalize the formal entry of David and his followers into the citadel on Mount Zion, the last place to be ceded to those who acknowledged only one God, one Mind.

The whole of mortal belief must be corrected by spiritual understanding. In the self-renunciation which means salvation the whole of self must sooner or later be admitted as deception, and as such wiped out of consciousness.
