Cancer in Stomach

From the November 1886 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Dear Journal: I wish to send in my bunch of grapes.

I was suffering from a very bad difficulty, which at first physicians called ulceration of the stomach; but afterwards a large bunch was formed, and they pronounced it to be a cancer. I had a hard cough, and I have not been able for three years to raise myself up or sit up after being raised, neither could I take any nourishment, except the juices of fruits, without irritating my stomach and raising blood. My belief was that I was surely going to my grave, when H. L. Dunbar, a Christian Scientist, came to my rescue, and I thank God that my health has been restored to me, and I feel I am perfectly healed.
