The religious world is asking, What is the tendency of Christian Science?" We answer, It is assisting the Church to fulfil its obligations, by pointing to a higher and larger source of Power. This inspires a new moral enthusiasm, and must surely advance and grow, till it becomes a mighty power in all the relations of life. It is awakening and quickening the mind of the people by lofty ideals, it is building for us all a beautiful habitation, in which we may dwell with health, happiness, holiness. It is diffusing a larger spiritual liberty. It is divesting matter of its baleful, mythic force, and exalting the power of Mind. It is even making easier the access to temporal necessaries, that we may the more fully give ourselves to a freer promotion and happier recognition of the supremacy of the spiritual over the material.
Some thinkers are attributing the wealth and prosperity of our nation over others less to favorable material conditions than to the greater moral and mental development of the people.
Christian Science demonstrates that health is found only in the right conception of man's relation to God.
