I was called to attend a lady of whom the M. D. had said he did not think she could live through another child-birth. Yet, trusting in Truth, the promises of Scripture were verified, and harmony appeared. The lady got up alone four times the first day. The second morning she got up and dressed, and walked into the sitting-room alone, and sat up an hour and a quarter, writing a letter in the meantime. The third day she dressed and walked into the dining-room, took dinner with the family, and she took her meals with the family from that time. On the fourth day, she did not take the bed during the afternoon and evening. Fifth day walked out on the piazza. In ten days she went out for a ride, then made calls,. walking about one half mile after having attended to some household duties in the forenoon.
