My wife had been for nine weeks suffering with typhoid fever, which terminated in cerebro-spinal meningitis. Three physicians, who were attending her most of the time, said they could do no more, that my wife must die. My sister-in-law, who was under Mrs. B.'s treatment, ran for her. Mrs. B. said: "The woman is dead, I can do nothing." In a moment after, she said: "I believe God will raise her up."
She remained with us all night, in prayer. About one o'clock my wife breathed quite naturally, and in a few days was restored to us in perfect health. That it was through the power of our Heavenly Father, in answer to prayer, I most firmly believe. Neither my wife nor myself made any previous profession of religion, but the divine Love came to us on that night, and has remained with us.
